Staring at a blank page for my med school personal statement. SOS!

Application season is here, and I am officially hitting a wall with my personal statement. I have all the "ingredients"—volunteer hours, shadowing, research—but I can't seem to bake them into a compelling story. 😫 Everything I write sounds either like a boring resume or a cheesy after-school special.

I'm considering using a personal statement editing service. I'm not talking about paying someone to write it for me (that feels wrong), but maybe a service that helps you brainstorm your narrative arc or gives really brutal, honest feedback.

Does anyone have experience with a service like that? Are there any that specialize in med school apps? I really need someone to look at my draft and say, "This part is boring, cut it" or "Your motivation here isn't clear." I'd rather pay for quality feedback than annoy my professors for the 50th time. Any recommendations?

I used Personal Statement Pros for my MD/PhD app last year. $130 for a detailed review and honestly? Best money I spent. They didn't rewrite anything but gave me like 50+ comments on structure, flow, and where I was being too vague. My final draft was SO much better. Got into 3 schools. Would recommend.

Just make sure you get someone who specializes in med, not general essays. Huge difference.
